CappcoPartners assists Connection Capital in growth investment into Virtua UK

Specialist telecoms engineering company Virtua UK provides engineering services (design, installation, testing) for the roll out of 2G, 3G, 4G and wireless networks. It works on behalf of large mobile network operators and landlords (including Wembley Stadium and the “Walkie Talkie” skyscraper in London) who require independently installed, multi-operator systems that work with all networks as opposed to just one.

Virtua UK sought funding from Connection Capital to generate working capital to drive its growth as well as to fund the acquisition and integration of a smaller player in its sector, Astral Specialist Contracts Ltd.

CappcoPartners team was led by founding partner Mark Cappell. It conducted an in depth analysis of Virtua’s sales and marketing capabilities to determine its ability to deliver to its growth plan.

Connection Capital’s Miles Otway said of CappcoPartner’s sales and marketing assessment: “Mark provided real insight in the due diligence process alongside actionable recommendations for the management team that will help Virtua further professionalise its sales and marketing approach. The exercise was efficiently delivered and formed a key part of our assessment of this investment.”
