CappcoPartners advises Foresight Group £4m investment in Folkestone Fixings Ltd

Operational transformation firm CappcoPartners has successfully assisted Foresight Group by providing a sales and marketing assessment to support its commercial and operational due diligence of Folkestone Fixings Limited

Folkestone Fixings Ltd began trading in 2003 as a traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ supplier. In 2009 it launched its ecommerce channel. Today it is one of the UK’s largest independent multi-channel suppliers of high quality tools, fixings and building supplies.

Foresight Group’s investment was sought to support the acquisition of Folkestone Fixings Group and its continued growth through the introduction of new product ranges, improved marketing and expansion into a new 60,000 sq. ft. distribution centre.

In the buy-in management buy out (BIMBO), experienced sector entrepreneurs Patrick Ker and Tim Horrell also invested in Folkestone Fixings Ltd. The buy-in team joined the business in executive positions and will work alongside the incumbent management team to drive growth.

Founding Partner Mark Cappell led CappcoPartners’ team. It conducted an in depth analysis of Folkestone Fixing Ltd’s sales and marketing capabilities to determine its ability to deliver to its growth plan.
